LOIS AND JACK KRAMER CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING IN TEXAS Lois and Jack Kramer are spending the holidays with their daughter, Mary Sue, and their grandson, Kollin Brandenburg, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Debra (Kramer) Lancaster, from South Carolina, also joining them in Texas for the holidays. 10 OCTOBER 99 – JOHN KURT AND LOIS KRAMER VISIT THE GREAT NORTHWEST ! ! ! ! John Kurt from Dewitt, Iowa, and Lois Kramer from Bellevue, Iowa, spent two days visiting Seattle the home of Richard and Diane Kurt. In spite of rainy weather on Friday, they saw the Boeing Airplane assembly plant in Everett, WA (the largest building in the world), the Bill Gates home, the Microsoft “Campus,” the space needle, the Pike Street Market, and had dinner with nieces and nephews Anne (Kurt) Somvi and Tom and Heather Kurt. The weather improved on Saturday and they had an opportunity to visit the Norwegian village of Poulsbo and lunched at a restaurant in Bainbridge before attending Mass at the Indian Reservation of Suquamish, where Indian Chief Seattle and his family are buried. A good time was had by all. CODY AND CORY MEDINGER EXCEL IN RODEO COMPETITION Cody and Cory Medinger, the sons of Jim and Connie (Kramer) Medinger continue to compete in Rodeos throughout Midwest. Connie reported that on 5 August, they competed in a Team Roping at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport. Cory got 2nd place out of 90 teams with a time of 7.20 seconds! CONGRATULATIONS CORY ! ! ! The Kurt family is mighty proud of your accomplishments. Granpa Kurt was always a great rodeo fan and would have applauded your achievements. Grandpa Kurt used to take his children to the Mississippi Valley Fair Rodeos when they were kids. Connie said that Cory is competing in a high school rodeo next weekend at Mineral Point, Wisconsin. He'll be competing in team roping, calf roping and "much to his mother's dismay... saddle bronc riding." His Mom & Dad and Aunt Carol & Uncle Brian are going to go along and cheer him on. Best of Luck Cory! ! 21 JULY - JIM AND CONNIE'S WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Jim and Connie (Kramer) Medinger celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary on 21 July 1999. Jim and Connie have two children, Cody and Cory. Lois and Jack Kramer, Carol (Kramer) Miller and other family members helped them celebrate their anniversary on 21 July. CONGRATULATIONS Jim and Connie ! ! ! ! GATHERING AT JIM AND CONNIE MEDINGER’S – 6 June Following the reunion on 6 June, Jim and Connie Medinger hosted the Richard Kurt family, Lois and Jack Kramer, Debbie Lancaster and Karissa Parker, and Ruth and Jerry Bryne at their horse ranch north of Bellevue. Cory and Cody Medinger, the sons of Jim and Connie, compete in Calf roping events at major professional rodeos in the midwest. Jim and Connie have a large number of horses at their ranch, a beautiful home, and great facilities for their boys to practice “rodeoing.” |
